Last Updated: 10/20/2026

What Our Pest Control Services Cover

Last updated: October 2026

Our standard pest control service covers common household pests such as ants, spiders, and rodents. We follow Vermont pesticide applicator licensing under 6 V.S.A.

Chapter 87 and EPA pesticide labeling requirements, including FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(G). We keep pesticide use records as required by 6 V.S.A.

§ 1105. Our technicians comply with the Federal Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR Part 170.

Exclusions: wildlife removal, structural repairs, and large-scale agricultural pest management require a separate agreement. We do not treat bed bugs in multi-unit buildings without a prior inspection.

Pesticide disposal follows Vermont hazardous waste rules. We are registered with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets under 6 V.S.A.

§ 1102. For health-related concerns, we coordinate with the Vermont Department of Health.

In some cases, we may consult the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service or the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. Any service outside this scope needs written approval.

How We Schedule and Handle Cancellations

We schedule appointments by phone or through our website. You will receive a confirmation with the date and time.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. That helps us adjust routes and avoid unnecessary trips.

For changes to the scope of work like adding a new treatment area we need your approval before the visit. We may ask you to sign an updated service order.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, we may charge a trip fee. That fee covers fuel and time.

If we need to cancel due to weather or safety, we will contact you to find a new slot. We do not start work without a confirmed appointment.

All schedule changes are documented in your service record. If you have questions about our scheduling policy, call our office.

Estimates, Pricing, and Payment Terms

We provide written estimates before any pest control work begins. The estimate lists the services, products, and labor.

Prices depend on the size of the area, the type of pest, and the treatment method. We do not charge for initial inspections unless we tell you in advance.

Payment is due when the work is finished. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

For recurring services, we may set up a monthly billing plan. If you request additional work beyond the original estimate, we will give you a revised quote.

You must approve that quote before we proceed. We do not add charges without your consent.

If you have questions about an invoice, contact our office within 14 days. We will review the charges and correct any errors. All payments are subject to Vermont law.

Our Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our pest control treatments. If pests return within 30 days after a service, we will retreat the affected area at no extra charge.

This warranty covers our application work and the products we use. It does not cover new infestations from outside sources.

The warranty is void if you or another party applies pesticides in the treated area. It is also void if you do not follow our preparation instructions, such as clearing clutter or sealing entry points.

We do not warranty structural repairs or exclusion work unless we specifically state that in writing. For rodent work, the warranty covers trapping and baiting for 14 days.

If you see activity after that, we can schedule a follow-up for a fee. To make a warranty claim, call our office with your service date and invoice number. We will schedule a visit within five business days.

Limits of Our Liability

Our liability for any pest control service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, such as wood rot, mold, or structural damage that existed before we arrived.

We follow Vermont pesticide applicator licensing under 6 V.S.A. Chapter 87 and EPA labeling requirements, including FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(G).

We keep records as required by 6 V.S.A. § 1105.

We comply with the Federal Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR Part 170. We dispose of pesticides according to Vermont hazardous waste rules.

Our products are registered with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets under 6 V.S.A. § 1102.

We are not liable for damage caused by pests after treatment if you did not follow our recommendations. We are also not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Some situations may involve the Vermont Department of Health or the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.

Service Expert at Green Mountain Pest Control

I grew up in Vermont and began my pest control career helping homeowners track down ant entry points and prepare older houses for seasonal pest pressure. Burlington’s freeze-thaw winters and mix of historic homes and newer buildings taught me to look for the conditions behind an infestation, not just the visible pests.
